Comments : The Sibyl of the Lake

A lady of the lake, looked up Sibyl and not sure I should really call her a lady. The reference to the Pleiades I took two ways, the Sibyl was looking for the seven sisters of Greek mythology or the cluster of starts in the constellation Taurus. To me either could fit.

Hi, Sylvia. I was thinking of the constellation. This was a poem I began last year after gazing out across a lake at night in Florida.

Thanks Hellon, I took your excellent suggestions. Glad you liked my poem. This sibyl was a vivid impression I got while staring across a lake late at night.

This is a magical verse, Randy.

Somehow it captured the feel of movies like The lord of the rings and Harry Potter ( I am a great fan of such movies!)

It is a pity you cannot add pictures here, a beautiful painting in dark shades of blue with a white lady hovering over the lake would be such a great addition:)

I wish I could still add favorites, but that funcion does not work anymore, for some obscure reason.

Very well done, as beautiful as your avatar:)

And congrats on your # 100 poem!

Thank you, Ingrid! Glad you liked my poem. When I started this one,I really felt and saw the sibyl in my mind's eye, it was a vivid impression, as I stared out across the tropical lake.
