Have you noticed?

by Steven Beesley   Oct 22, 2010

My silence speaks
volumes, yet you
don't even understand.

Facial expressions
show indifference but
you don't seem to know.

You are so wrapped
up in your self to
be able to see me.

You're so conceited that
it bars you from
having any understanding.

The foolish pride you
have leaves no
room for anyone else.

Far too in love
with your self to be
able to love others.

I feel not hatred,
these be merely
observations.

For I am gone
and you haven't
even noticed?

Was I merely just for
show, just an ornament?

Steven, these statements ring true how self absorbed some people can be. Ego,pride and ignornace to others can cause such hurtful feelings for the one on the recieving end.

Some people are so self absorbed they don't notice things about the people around them, even the one they love.
