    Excellent. I really liked your idea of how you personified the moon into a human -unless that was intentional- because it gave a certain dept to the poem which otherwise would not have been reached. Also the imagery in parts as you describe the moon was very nice and descriptive.

    "You're always up there
    with your pale face shinning bright...
    What are you thinking
    as we watch you glow?
    What are your desires
    as you watch us grow old?"

    Your opening line I would have to say is your best line as it gave a good introduction and also gave the reader something to think about as he/she reads the rest of the poem. I really liked the questions as it gave me a wonderment as to what the moon really is thinking in a figurative way. Great job and keep writing.

    Nice work. The moon hears a multitude of stories as I think we all talk to it at times in our lives.

    Well this is truly beautiful, just a quick note that I think in the third stanza "No one ever asks
    what is is that you seek..." did you mean what it is? =p i do that one all the time. I love the stanza about how you trusted someone to the moon and how the moon shines for him. The thing that stood out to me the most is how you identified the moon as an aura at the end, not just the moon itself. Because it really is larger than just the moon to many people who stare at it, and it makes this poem that much more beautiful and resonates that much more with me at least. Great work.

    //distance. If
    I close my eyes I can hold you
    If I stop breathing I can see
    him.
    //touching lines.
    Its the belief that keeps us going.
    well written.

    When children are really young they are still capable of what psychologist call " magical thinking". I feel it is the most beautiful stage of our lives. As I read this, I saw a very young girl staring up to the sky and in awe of the moon that is indeed always there and seems to be watching us. A very mysterious sight to the young ones especially.

    I gather you wrote this from that perspective?

    Well done,

    5/5 Ingrid

    As has been noted, the personification of our closest heavenly body reflects much light on the tides of the emotion expressed so naturally in this poem

    Lovely poem - I really enjoyed it.

    I found the 3rd stanza a little difficult in places:
    - Should there be a comma after "No one ever asks" otherwise I found myself expecting the 2nd line to read "what it is that you seek".
    - If the second line is a question, maybe it needs a question mark at the end.
    - "an unattainable distance" also felt difficult to read (maybe deliberate though!). If not, could the "an" be removed?

    One spelling issue - I believe the second line should be "shining bright"

    What I think would have also been interesting to explore in the poem is how the moon waxes/wanes and rises/falls and how that also makes you feel.

    Hope you don't mind my suggestions - I'm not an expert so if you don't agree with them you are probably right :)

    This deserves more than a nomination, and if I could I would with high pleasure in reading this. It was completely unique, the first few lines grabbed me and the thought did enter me. We never ask the moon how it shines from afar and what it desires. Absolutely heart-warming and imaginative, it brought a grand smile to my face. Please keep writing and God bless you always.
