You And Me

by Jackie Martinez   Oct 26, 2010

I thought I heard your soul whispering for me,
And swore I heard your tears telling me you were in pain,
You needed me.

I came to you in your time of need,
And found you just as my heart skipped a beat,
I was too late.

I found you when you found your own deadly cure,
And saw the rope smiling as it hung around your neck,
I cried for you.

I stood there with an evil rope around my neck,
And it would soon be smiling,
I died for you.

Because when your heart stopped, So did mine.

I enjoy these kinds of writes, I can relate to it so well, the only criticism I can offer is your use of "I" so often throughout the piece. You don't actually need all of them and it would clean up the lines a bit. Other than that, nice work.
