I'm who you'll always be

by Nil   Oct 27, 2010

In a house or on the street
People embrace images
That distort reality
Of who they used to be
It's like a shadow whispering
Making them believe

You'll never compare
Why try? When you'll only fail
You'll never be beautiful
Just give up. You'll never love yourself.

Wrestling with the shadow
Only makes things worse
They begin to scream
You'll never get rid of me
I'm the reflection of who you'll always be.

Look in the mirror
What do you see?
The same person from yesterday
The shadow snickers
And continues to whispers

You'll never get rid of me.
I'm the scars on your wrists
The razor in your hand
The memories you wish you could forgot
The reflection you can't stand

I'm the you- you used to be
I'm the shadow reminding you

I'm who you'll always be.
