Tapestry Of My Life

by Jim McMillen the man within   Oct 31, 2010

All words in ( ) are titles of other poems I wrote

July 29th 1994 #71

Planted deep within, A long ( time ) ago.
Cultured by the heat of my soul on fire.
From my minds eye, A tear does flow,
To nurture in my heart, A seed of ( desire.)

To feel, to grow, to unfold.
To entwine what was , with what is to be.
To see, to know the untold.
Only to be certain through intimacy.

Understanding, its my treasured grace
Thought to be lacking by those who misconceive,
The aspects of my life that they dare not embrace,
This bonding for which I hunger, I feel certain to achieve

A desire to express, but also to behold,
To become A part of what I've drifted apart from.
Enhanced by where I've been, I continue to unfold.
I am still who I am , but not who I will become

To step toward tomorrow, with respect for yesterday
Creates A strength , from A prior weakness.
The acceptance of A challenge in its most rewarding way
And A champion arises through meekness

( To accept of A challenge in its most rewarding way is to accept it completely )

Theme song for this poem

Tapestry Of My Life, you have painted, not sure that is the right word, for us a glimpse into needs and wants of a human being. Well done.
