The Faceless, The Nameless

by Nobody   Oct 31, 2010

The walls begin to grow tighter around me
bloody foot prints are the only reminder
of the past haunts and present ghosts
that can't seem to let go of my skin
and continually gaining new members

I wish I knew what festering disease is...
trickling through my swollen veins
Does such horrors even possess a name?
Can evil share features or own a face?
Sometimes I can almost grasp it

Occasionally my fingertips brush its shoulder,
neck, thigh. Just when I think I finally have it
in my grasp, finally I have grabbed it by the throat
It disappears into the shadows before I can have a glimpse of its faceless eyes, its nameless features

I just wait....and wait for the day when these on going playmates will move on to a new victim to terrorize.
