The End is Near(Rispetto)

by Jad   Nov 5, 2010

Withering days decay in snow,
as trees stand- shattered, torn, and whole
while the ever biting wind blows:
spring breathes again ready to mold

Leaping moments withhold secrets
as trees again bud now leaflets,
And flowers open in contrast
to the winters pale doldrums cast.

I like how you set the picture of winter's feel and bringing back a fresh breath of spring into the read..I like that transformation..well done with the form!!

Because of the iambic pentameter this seemed a little forced, when read out loud, but nevertheless you did very well on this!

while the ever biting wind blows:
spring breathes again ready to mold

I like how you personify the seasons, it gives such a fairy- tale like touch to your poem.

    Well done,

Wonderfully portrayed, such an impressive and beautiful form you have united with here. I relished the seasonal theme and your ability to leave the reader somewhat awed in every way.

God bless you and take care.
