My Life

This is my life and my life alone
I refuse to spend it in servitude
I will never bow down before you
You will never be able to break me
You cannot silence my voice
My heart will never stop fighting
Because I don't seek to gain power
I only want to live my life my way
Cause I'm not going to live forever
So just let me do things my way

I don't want to hurt you at all
But if you keep pushing things
Trying to make me obey your rules
I'll be left with no other choice
But to strike back with all I have
And I will not fall or fade then
I will shock the world awake
Exposing you as King Nothing
So just let me and her go
Just let us live our life our way

    Loved your choice of words, especially in the last stanza, really woke my creative soul. To be honest when i first started to read this poem i thought it could probably be used as a song, had that kind of singing rhyme. I deffinatly agree with Beautiful Chaos, this can be taken so many ways, gets you to contemplate every angle, a really good write, good for you. IBE

    I think people could look at this from many different angles and apply it to their life. I was not fond of the last line of the first stanza, I think it was the repeat of "way" but a very powerful write. Good work.
