Dying Friendship

I wrote this a while back and just found it again on a floppy disk. Me and the girl made up now but we have never returned to being as close as we once were. Plz vote and comment, but if you are going to vote low then please take the time to tell me what about it you don't like and give me some sort of suggestion on how to make it better. Thank you!

Dying Friendship

what happened to us, we used to be friends
now when we're in the same room we stand on different ends
when something comes up, i don't get a call
you have your other friends, they are there when you fall

we used to be able to say anything
from good news to bad we told everything
but now if we talk it's a hi or a bye
i ask one question, just tell me, why?

use to be i could look at you
and know what you were thinking, what you wanted to do
i could ask you a question, not make a sound
through your eyes you would answer, like sisters we were bound.

but now when i look all i see is a cloud
and i think back amazed, i think back wowed
i don't know what your thinking or what you dint like
i just now that I'm trying, while learning to take a hike

remember the good times that we shared
the boys that we liked, the ones for which we cared
remember that time we were out in the cold
we had two blankets, with four people to hold

and remember in your old house when we would sit on the beds
and tell each other everything that ran through our heads
what about the time when you were so stressed
i tried to help you, i really tried my best

but the things i have done have not been enough
we've stopped talking now and I'm trying to be tough
when we do talk its small and we don't really care
what the other one says, really thinking about our hair

we don't mind hanging out every once in a while
but we've lost that bond, and never truly smile
we both know that we are growing apart
through this whole thing we will try to stay smart

both of us know we don't want to let go
we still have each others stuff, i still owe you dough
it started off as a stupid little fight
we both have jealousy issues, that work against our might

i hung out with some other friends and you got the guy
we said means words and we both probably cried
we also disagreed on what should be done
i thought you were too young, but hey, I've held a gun.

then it came to when i thought you lied
but how can i trust when so many times i have tried
we made promises that we didn't even plan to keep
said you'd tell me if you did it, that one should've been deep

first you told me that you did, then you said that you were joking
i was so blind to believe you, what was i smoking?
did you really kiss him?, have you done it or not?
do you wanna break up?, do you keep him because he's hot?

well i sit here and think of what we had
tears in my eyes because, duh, i am sad
now we have nothing, we can both move on
go off by ourselves to find a new dawn

i don't think you see what brought this to hand,
the past two years, like a mouth full of sand
you don't see your flaws, hardly anyone does,
maybe thats my problem but this is because

of the way you tease me or cut me short
do you not see how i have helped you, then your thoughts you should sort
i have done my best to be a good best friend
but i get no respect so here i will end

it doesn't seem fair or good in the least
but know that i hate how our friendship ceased
there are many kinds of love, too many to say
and the love for you i have now, my sister, will always stay.
