Queen of Affliction

Everyone complains about the same things all the time
"he hurt me", "she broke my heart", "he took my smile away"
but none of you know the single most piercing pain
that I, myself, have to deal with every single day

It isn't a conscious choice I make when I awaken each day
it's a simple fact of my being, that just will not dissipate
Contrary to your beliefs, I do not do this purposely
in fact, my mind, my body, and my soul are beginning to disintegrate

I'm the boy who hurt you, the girl who broke you're heart
I'm the one who took your smile away, and left you all alone
I've hurt him, I've hurt her, I've hurt you all the same
I'm the queen of affliction, and I cant ever leave this throne

    This was a very haunting piece and one that spoke out to me. Although I didn't necessarily know what you are specifically going through, the feeling was so real. How all the broken hearts and broken people out there are nothing compared to the reality you have to face everyday. Wonderful depth that moved the soul. Keep writing and God bless you always.
