Reparations

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 8, 2010

Explosive
Emotions boiling below the surface
Held back
By thin threads of memory

Memories
That slowly turn into anger
Rage for what was
What it has now become

You seek God
But offer no redemption
Selfish prayers
Floating like screams in the wind

Amputation
Severing guilt
Amnesic symptoms setting in
But we will not forget

You revel in righteousness
Like a fallen angel
Even as you plummet to your death
Your wrongs will be right
