Sister .

I grew up looking up to you,
you were always there for me.
Taking care of me while mom was at work,
the best a sister could be.

I always wanted to be like you,
copying everything you did.
I hope i wasn't to annoying,
i was just a little kid.

You used to wrap me up in blankets,
just to keep me warm.
And made me feel safe,
through every late night storm.

You used to make me coffee,
with tons of sugar inside.
And all my tears you'd wipe away,
whenever i cried.

You taught me to love pickles,
especially with salt.
When my first love left me,
you told me it wasn't my fault.

You have always looked after me,
you taught me how to fight.
And i still love you to death even though,
sometimes you don't know wrong from right.

And as i got older,
my role model never changed.
Its you who i still look up to,
our feelings got easier to exchange.

The whole time we grew up,
we never once fought.
Maybe because of our age difference,
or its just how we were taught.

Everyone says I'm just like you,
and sometimes we look the same.
I guess we have our parents to thank,
they are the ones to blame.

And even though we are only half sisters,
it still feels like we're full.
We are just as close as real sisters,
i guess we are just that cool.

And now I'm sixteen,
I'm old enough to stand on my own.
I see the love you have for me,
i don't need to be shown.

You help me with all my problems,
give me good advise.
For a sister as good as you,
i guess someday ill have to pay the price.

Even though i don't get to see you much,
cuz we live so far apart.
Just know you'll always be a wonderful sister,
and you'll always be in my heart.

Sometimes you make bad decisions,
but i still look up to you.
And every time your hurting,
I'm hurting too.

If you ever feel like your alone,
just remember that I'm here.
Ill be here for you through anything,
wiping away all your tears.
