What a great description of reading a book about war or something related to it and having all these things act around you as you have so wonderfully described. I am impressed by the maturity in which you write which shows in this poem and the other I have read. Also though this was a short poem I still found it immensly interesting and I would have liked it longer but you did a great job describing it with what little you had. Great job and keep writing.

I have waited patiently for this little gem to appear on your account ... lol

    And it has finally arrived.

Typed little soldiers in perfect uniform
That run, skip, across an endless plain
Creating sumptuous feasts of verb and noun
    ^^^
These 3 lines are my favorites. The imagery you created in the " Typed little soldiers in perfect uniform " is solid and bright and sets the pace for the rest of the poem.
Then to be followed by an array of words that are mesmerizing and colorful to the mind of the reader.

Then wrapping the Tiny Soldiers up neatly in a mind blowing / unexpected finale.

A write worth much praise, a wonderfully woven masterpiece in my eyes !!!

This poem is one I truly love, Nick.

I feel it should be more known than just on this site, because it will make people enhusiastic about the written word. It is professional quality, and it shows a promise...

  • Quite extraordinary. I loved every bit of it. Wish there was more to it, so I could've drowned in its brilliance a little longer. (:
