Tamed By Love

They see her living her daily life, with a smile always on her face.
Don't judge a book by it's cover was always taken negatively but what happens in her case?

They have her on a leash. Tamed by the feet of her once smiling face.
She wants to take 3 steps forward but the leash was put to its limit.
While she pulls for those 3 steps that she can see they end up bringing her 5 steps back.

They have her on a roller coaster. Tamed by the once intelligent mind.
She tries to keep her head high as it goes up but the tears flow as she drops.
The corkscrew comes and she is torn apart, she is so distraught.
She wants to say what needs to be said but it all ends.

They have her on a rocket ship. Tamed by her knees so she can't go down to pray.
The clock strikes 11:11 as she is about to say goodbye. Allowed one wish that will never come true.
Fire ignites as she looks out at the stars to say "first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight..."
It was always the same. One wish is too much to ask for and she gives up an eternity.

They choke her with their saliva and slit her throat with words.
She is covered in their blood as she loses sight of everything.
Her one wish would never come true because of your voice.
And she is left there tamed and 10 feet under waiting for her next 11:11.

One Smile, One Wish, One Sentence.
Their leash limits her.
Their leash changes everything.
Their leash...

Is you.

This poem was incredible. The only advice I have is omit the "first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight..." and shorten it to maybe just "wish I may, wish I might"

But no one knows your work better than you do.

    keep up the incredible writing
