Highschool .

High schools not even the beginning,
so don't let it get you down.
The rest of your life hasn't even started,
so don't let it make you frown.

Tons of drama,
millions of lies.
Plenty of people,
for you to despise.

It's all about looks,
not about heart.
Don't let them see your tears,
don't let it tear you apart.

Best friends become enemies,
boys become jerks.
Girls become mean,
feelings get hurt.

Some words hurt deep,
there's fight after fight.
So many teenagers,
crying themselves to sleep at night.

High school isn't worth,
all of the pain.
So let all their hurtful words,
wash away with the rain.

Hold your head high,
ignore what they say.
Keep a smile on your face,
each and everyday.

Show them your strong,
they won't bring you down anymore.
Your better then that,
it will hurt no more.

High schools just a chapter,
not the whole book.
And you will see that,
all you have to do is look.

One day they will grow up,
stop being immature.
Don't follow the crowd,
keep your heart pure.

I loved the message in this poem. It's something all young people can relate to.

    "Show them your strong,
they won't bring you down anymore.
    Your better then that,
    it will hurt no more."

I feel you could make this verse more powerful by playing with it a bit

    aside from that, good read
