The Sword and The Stone

by Jessie   Nov 17, 2010

You bring me down,
with words of hate, spew words of lies
to bring on my demise for it's come too late.

You toss me to the wolves,
to rip my flesh, and torture my soul.
You don't allow me to be whole, completely depressed.

So I had to let you go,
because you stole my heart, but I'll keep my pride,
for it will always be mine, gives me a fresh start.

The wolves can't take me.
Let them charge and hoard, I'll fight them off
until they stop, my pride is my sword.

My pride will allow me to fly,
to soar over skies, and bring other with me.
Allows my soul to be free, and to realize, you're just a guy.
