A Living Ache of a Dying Love

by Elias Fernandez   Jun 19, 2004

Words, nothing but sweet sweet words that turn into bitter orange wax in my ears. A living ache of a dying love.

Old love passing slowly into the night. Eclipsed by the rising of a golden sun. You laughing eyes and kind heart plant a growing vine in the garden that is my soul. Rising, growing, crowding out all others.

Demanding, unyielding, like a spoiled little girl with her tongue stuck out.

I spread my ‘Net’ wide with words, pictures, and sounds to lure your tender touch. Your slender hands caress my ears. Your pierced tongue speak words of honey.

Honey loves of promise, of passion not yet given, a proposal. Filling, nourishing me, an exciting ache of a new love.

sorry about the typo! I am about to move in the next 48 hours so I will try to update and learn more when I get a chance and thank you for all who have looked, voted and commented.

Like I said this is the first time I have tried anything like this but I will try to get better.

    That was great.
I had to read it several times, until I caught the message.

I like this out with the old in with the new line. "Old love passing slowly into the night. Eclipsed by the rising of a golden sun."

You have a typo on the word "you" here: it should be "your"

Overall it was a pretty intense poem.
