Heavy Heart

by Heather   Nov 23, 2010

My mind is blank, but my thoughts are full.
My heart is heavy but still I'm the fool.
I can still see you in my dreams.
Your nothing but perfect , While I rip at the seam's.

I wanted to be everything you wanted me to be,
But I fail at everything, so you see.
My lips are dry, maybe because I haven't breathed in a while.

I sink under the water, I sink my lungs.
I'm soft as a feather, lighter than a bird, I fly.
I'm higher than the earth, brighter than the sky.

I sold my soul. I lost my soul.
What's the difference?
My soul was not your preference.

I'd speak, but you'd cover your ears.
I'd cry, but you wouldn't care about the tears.
