I tried

by Heather   Nov 23, 2010

If I could speak the words I feel weighing down my soul,
I can move my lips but could never unfold.
If I could grasp the conclusion,
Maybe I could resort to a solution.

I only see the grayest of gray's.
I need a handful of color to subdue this black and white world.
To see you, means to open my eyes.
And the pain walks in
Oh how the time fly's.

But wounds don't heal.
..Not the one's inside that you can't seal.
Press your face to mine,
This pain will stop in time.

I want you.
You want so much more,
I'll disconnect my pride from all my sore's.
I took this road and swept my feet off the ground,
If only I could reach the brightest stars but I'd settle for no sound.
At least its clear way up here,
No feelings, no hurt, no fear.

I'm clearly adolescent or just childish,
Bring back those time's or I only wish.
Kill me with kindness,
There's things going on in this world that are mindless.
Its too bright outside. Its a fake!
Its so cold and dark where they roam at the stake.
When the road splits you get nothing but more question's,
You'd lose yourself with everyone's eager suggestion's.

Quick, think fast! What does it all mean?
You must still be blind because its easily seen.
Walk away and hang me out to dry,
This is the end but at least I can say that I did try.
