Beauty of The Beach

by Bradley Peter   Nov 26, 2010

Golden sand between my toes,
I'm bare-footed on the beach,
A light breeze comes and goes,
The scene's too perfect for speech,

The sun is kind to my complexion,
Which has grown darker, in tone,
And on even closer inspection,
You'd see a freckle or two had grown,

I look out into the sea, so vast,
Far, where sea and sky meet,
I think about an hour's passed,
Since I last felt my heart beat,

And the waves lightly crash,
As waves so often do,
They sparkle, glisten and splash,
And they make for such a view,

My eyes become moist and soar,
I remember times gone by,
And I know you're not here anymore,
But that you watch me from the sky,
