Seven Years

by Timothy   Dec 1, 2010

My beating heart, that's all I hear,
Almost seven years now, and you're still here;
Did I do something right? Maybe it was your patience,
All your tolerance, and your good graces.

I love you as much now, as the very beginning,
Although at one time it seemed fate was winning;
Rounding that corner, a time or two,
At the end of the day, I still have you!

Something in your smile, a sweetness undefined,
A kiss on the lips, and I am still out of my mind;
Here's hoping seven turns to seventy,
And that our bond immortalizes this divinity.
