Coming up on two years married. Are you feeling slightly harried? Do you feel I have tarried? Are you truly happy? Is it what you wanted? Do you feel taunted? Is it all that has been vaunted? Was it all too sappy? Has it been made worth while? Or are we truly out of style? Do our senses rile, The things that aggravate? Do you feel where you should be? Pursuing the life of you and me. Or do your eyes begin to see, The things you sublimate? I hope that I don't disappoint. And give you cause to reconnoiter. The life you've chosen to this point. And question your decision. I hope that I have been for you, The one and only one that's true. The one that makes your life seem new, As you do so for me. For after two years married, My past seems all but buried. Old baggage no more carried. Our marriage set me free. So happy with the last two years, Mostly smiles and yet some tears. I face our future without fears. I'm proud you are my wife. I can only hope for you, That you still feel too, That the day we said "I do", Was the best day of your life.
