Baby Duck

by TJ Arizona Eagle   Dec 6, 2010

She walks in silence of guilt.
Dressed in a habit of sadness
Clouds like an umbrella shield
her from its effulgent light.

Emotions lost in a whirlwind,
swirling madly, confusing her
until they make no sense and shes
unable to find her way.

Happiness is just a word she
feels was ultimately never meant
to walk beside her melting as one.
leaving her soul isolated and alone

Spread your wings baby duck
rid yourself of the despair blocking
the sun. Show the world your
innate beauty, glide confident into
the waters of life.

Beautifully written, I love the way you describe things:

"Happiness is just a word she
    feels was ultimately never meant
to walk beside her melting as one."

    Absolutely moving. 5/5

I didn't realise back then how well you knew this baby duck. What a sorry bird hey :) A lot has changed, her wings have spread out confidently and she has been lifted off the ground. She opens her eyes, her heart, she smiles, and even takes risks :) Thank you for keeping this

This piece is fabulous. The description and imagery are marvelous. Though the piece is short, it starts off incredibly and uses the perfect words to create a story. I am deffinatly a fan of this piece, and excellent job. 5/5
