All That's Left Is Blame

by A Shame In His Eyes   Dec 6, 2010

I can no longer be angry with you,
You have found somebody new.

Sadness can no longer describe what my heart will soon feel,
Sadness was never really part of the deal.

This year of pain and sorrow,
Will be my fatal regret come sunset tomorrow.

This game we played for so long,
Was like a never ending song.

The constant fights,
All those sleepless nights.

The untold story,
Were told in scars, so gory.

Held in your hand,
Like a puppet without a stand.

Nothing more than a game,
And all that's left is shame.

I think that this could be a much stronger piece if you were to just tighten up the flow, which you could easily do with a little editing of the structure. I also thing you could put a little more strength in this piece. Find stronger rhymes.

Although it might not have come across, I did like this piece, and feel that it has potential to be better if you worked on it a little more.
