Rain in My Hair

Rain in My Hair

Have you ever felt inspired by the rain
Can you spot the joy though all of the pain

When the rain falls so beautifully and hits the concrete
My voice is silenced and my heart begins to speak

As the drops align in a musical pattern
I can hear the smell and taste the feeling,
And it sings to me about what matters

Then clouds become one as puddles form,
And run down the streets as if a raging river

Still calm in emotion as it rains in December
All pains and any troubles

Are swept away in oil bubbles
Down the street and in to the drain

The rain is my liquor of choice,
And my only alcohol

Simply because it is always on time,
And never misses a house call
