Swell

by silvershoes   Dec 11, 2010

The beak of winter is
filled with snowy residue.

It smalled me and chilled me.

I was shrinking into
a black hole,
sinking into a pitcher of
warm milk and honey,
then dissipating.

The fragments of my thoughts
were mold on the rim,
damned by scrutiny
falling out of her eyes.

This was a very strong poem and each separate line opened up more of this cold feelings you have inside. Anyway the flow of this piece was strong and I liked the message of the poem as it was given clearly. The usage of your wording is very strong and powerful which increased the intensity of the poem.

Trying to find a line that stood out to me was nigh impossible as it was such a short piece. I loved every line but as Britt said I think this poem could have been made longer. I was still wanting some more once I got to the end. Anyway you have done a great job with what you have given us. Great job and keep writing.
