Modernized

by Beautiful Chaos   Dec 20, 2010

I remembered fondly,
Before time moved on,
Emotions that caressed me,
Like the supple, summer breeze.

The harshness of our winter,
Did not creep in today,
Only the beautiful colours of our fall,
Which blanketed my heart, waiting for spring.

Those days seem so long ago,
I thought they'd never end,
Perpetual misery,
Now they are but a whisper.

Everything I thought I knew,
Today, has been replaced,
Moving beyond who I was,
To become who I need to be.

Re posted to fix all those errors. erase the old one... sorry bout that

Looking to interpret this on a DEEP scale.
    Cuz that's the way I think. : )

    Stanza one.

    Perhaps before existence, before time!
You are remembering what it was like.
Where emotions were like a subtle summer.

    Stanza two
There were no harsh feeling here.
Only the serenity of timeless peace

    Stanza three
Those days gone, what seemed an
Eternity. But now "I exist" in "Time" in the flesh. That timeless
    Time. But a whisper now.

Everything I was, has been replaced
Moving beyond what and who I was.
To what I am now. And now that I have
Flesh¦ and a body It will determine
Who I am and need to be.

That's what your poem meant to me.
So of course I LOVED IT.

I like how it is personal, and also like the descriptions and especially of the seasons, and how you seem to skip winter in your thoughts that day.
