Excellent poem. I love the structure, its quite unique. I can see what you mean with this being similar to mine. I loved the rhyme and the flow was pretty smooth.

I adore this line:

"Youre the past and Im looking forward."

It's good to see that you aren't going to waste any more time on him.. and instead are moving on.

And I absolutely LOVE these lines:

"Ill never forget you. But you wont be missed."

It's so true. You won't ever forget them, but they aren't someone you are going to waste your worries on or miss them at all.
