Bewitching Hour (Lanturnes)

by Meena Krish   Dec 29, 2010

..............Red
..........sky fades
........shinning orb
......dips behind the
...............hill

..............Wind
............drifts in
........her softness
....make lushes trees
..............waltz

..............Stars
............emerge
.........on black sky
.....their light flickers
................on

..............Moon
...........disrobes
.......her grandeur
...beams touch upon
..............earth

...............In
..........the shade
.......of night's eye
...torrid hearts spawn
..............love

The Lanturne is a five-line verse shaped like a Japanese lantern with a syllabic pattern of one, two, three, four, one.
