A stainless sigh

by Poet on the Piano   Dec 31, 2010

She suspends miniature hearts
from newspaper cuttings
onto her porch railing,
spying them with secret
delight.

Her construction party
entertains her shut in
life, by whirling around
misty stars and gasps.

The lady on duet street
never misses a performance,
where her children buzz
and show off their new mates.

And she laughs louder.
