Silver-shoes

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 1, 2011

Though your gravity may fail you
I am positive it will pull you through
Attitudes and latitudes in space
Will never keep you in your place
But that is not something that is new
Your heavenly body is in motion
It is bound to cause a commotion
Rise above it with laughter and mirth
There will always be time to return to earth
May your trails and tribulation always be few
Snow White was a fairytale but you know Cinderella was too
When you dance be careful that you do not lose a silver shoe

I adore this, Mike, and it means a lot to have a poem written about/for me :) You truly are the King of rhyming! Also, thank you for the advice you've craftily strewn in... What I got from it is that I am a person who causes lots of commotion (drama included), but I have to remember to rise above it and find the humor in all things. There is more than that but I don't want to ruin the symbolism with my crude interpretations.

So thanks again, Mike. Sorry I took some time to leave a comment.
