If love is meant to be chaotic and tragic,
then we're in undeniably in love, my dear.
If love is meant to be filled with tears and abuse,
then I'm getting a lot of love from you.

If love is meant to be confusing to no end,
then I'm drowning in love from all this confusion.
If love is meant to be filled with fake smiles,
then I'm the queen of love; thanks to you.

If love is meant to a different lover every night,
then you're the king of love, my sweet love.
If love is meant to be a different bedroom every night,
then you're the love of all loves, my dear.

If love is meant to be filled with lies and popping pills,
then we keep falling deeper in love with each other.
If love is meant to be filled with fast pacing hearts,
then you've become the king of lovers and love itself.

    I really like the sarcastic tone in this poem because obviously the speaker knows that those things don't belong to the definition of love. You mentioned all sorts of things that people end up doing during a relationship and supposedly excuse it by saying they love you.
    I'm afraid that it's said too often and too fast nowadays, which is quite disappointing because it makes it tough to believe.

    A well written poem! :)
