It's a shame

Such a young girl

Never knowing right from wrong

Gave her heart to another

Who just wanted to string her a long

Made her think she was special

Made plans for their future

But he wouldnt put in time

Or the effort

Its a shame that she's broken

Yet she's still wondering about him

Yea its been a while

But wouldnt take him back on a whim

Cuz you see, she's over him

His loss anyway

She's got herself a real man

Who calls her beautiful each day

No regrets about her past

Cuz her path lead her to this man

A broken path lead by others

Loving her the best he can

You see that girl was me

And yes, I think its true

And how much better my life is now

Its so much easier to forget you
