I suppose distance does infect friendship

by Marcus blake   Jan 11, 2011

I can appreciate a person like you
As you have me You're a poet like myself
So you know what I mean when I say
Life is a complicated experience
Yet in-between the complexities
We meet Some where in-between the chaos
The lies and illusions
The immaterial world Trapped in the enigma of past events
You found me And I found you
Poetry was the language we spoke
Emotion... pure emotion is what we read
You understood this Understanding of struggling and many other things
Yet just as we meet in between the chaos
Like the wind blowing the leaves
You faded away from me
But a you who existed remained
Yet a face I meet briefly
How sweet to meet beauty
Unannounced...

I love what you try to say, it speaks to me and makes me reflect.

But it does not really stick, I think it still lacks some structure, some flow. Try to add some white lines, push enter a few times (on the right places, where you want the reader to pause and catch his breath and train of thought) and it will be easier to read.

    Good work!
