My Crime

As my confusion fades
I saw what i had done
I let him in
My world come undone!

It was my own fault
For letting it go so far
Ripped from my life
Leaving a nasty scar

I realized then
I would pay the price
For loving a fool
Not once but twice

But who is the fool
Not you but i
For trusting you again
It was all a lie

You didn't care
As you smile now at my pain
Knowing you won
As i bow my head in shame

Perhaps the third is a charm
But i learned this time
