The Goddess of a Savior

by Jack Nightengale   Jan 18, 2011

Wingless and broken,
From the sky I had fallen.
Now shackled and bound,
These chains have kept me on the ground.

Picked up from the depths of darkness,
Raised from a pit that's bottomless.
My heart locked away and chained,
My soul withered and pained.

To hold me as a king and keep me warm,
To shelter me and keep me safe from the storm.
You rescued my soul and promised to never be apart,
You even broke the chains around my heart.

To be with you is a blessing from the sky,
Together with you I will always fly.
I know that I'm rambling so forgive my behavior,
It's just that I fell in love with the Goddess of a Savior!
