The girl gone astray

by Cassandra   Jan 20, 2011

Flickering whispers taint the calmness of the night
almost to faint can you hear her fight
all of the battle that u cannot see
resides deep within all her quiet pleas
many my just cross by her walking through this path
yet one glance shows all her life's pain of wrath
you may just hastily pass along trying to ignore
sadly that is how many have been lost before
that is the reasoning behind my halted steps
because i too have saddened testimonies that i have kept
hoping for my voice to be the saint to save her soul
i begin to lend my whispered stories told
praying that she may realize that she is not in this world alone
tears streak my cheeks to feel her pain that i have always known
closer i peer to fall in dismay
for the girl staring back, is me gone astray
