And then she left

by denisse   Jan 21, 2011

We were fighting
i said goodbye
locked the door and sat and started to cry
i thought it'd be like before
you'd comeback the next day
but that same day,
i got a call,
apparently it was the end of it all.
you had died,
and i had cried,
the wind was blowing in my face,
i tried to not cry.
but i remembered that fight,
if tonight you were to listen to me,
you'd know,
how much i loved you.
you were my best friend,
and it was till the end,
i remembered the last words.
i had said I hate you..'
but now i really miss you,
Mary,
i want you to know,
you were the hero who knew it all.
you were the smile to my happiness.
and the arms when i cried,
i pray that you hear me,
and you try to watch me,
but i know theres no heaven,
though it was only when you were here,
though i know that waking up sometimes is my biggest fear,
my heaven is a sin,
though i know i shouldn't miss,
i should let you rest in piece,
and try to let my heart be free,

Well written. Sometimes we do not realize what friends mean to us till they are gone.
