Painter, fetch your canvas Use your knife to paint the sea. With your oils, give it life; Untamed, wild and free. Let me look out off a dinghy At a jagged cliff face up ahead, At a cave I can only reach When the tide is almost dead. Painter, make the sea To crash against the rock. Make the spray to ride the wind, Have the seabirds begin to flock. Let me look out of a dinghy To the cave I yearn to be. To explore it's loneliness, Where I long to vanish far and free.
