A Lost Soul Mate

I know I was falling in love with you. I was so scared that you wouldn't love me back. I knew it was because I wasn't beautiful. Every time u mentioned her name, my fists would clench up and my eyes would swell. Tears would come streaming down and my heart would bleed for you. I would silently scream out your name. You were everything, you were my best friend and my soul mate. You were there for me when I needed you. You knew how to make me laugh & how to make me smile like no one else could. I wasn't afraid to confide in you.

I was jealous. I wanted those rumors about your girlfriend to be true. I was so selfish. I was so wrong. I've lost the best person I have ever known over something so stupid. I kick myself every day. Know that I am truly sorry. Wherever you are, please find it in your heart to forgive me.

    Aww no, this is so sad. I feel for you on this one as I can relate to this and know how painful the hurt is at the time and how long it can last.

    I loved the writing and your wording, but I think it would read better if it was in lines or stanza's as it actually has a good flow to it.

    A truely sad poem. One sided love is very difficult to overcome. You expressed so much emotion in only a few lines, loved the way you just let your feelings flow.
