Little girls eyes
They can see so much magic
They believe in princesses
And prince charming
Love that lasts forever
Emotions most adults never see
And an escape far from here
But then they get older
And the fairy tales fade
They realize life,
Life isn't mythical
Not all villains get caught
People don't always get justice
Animals can't help you
And some times there is no prince
A piece of clothing can't change you
Mirrors can some times lie
Evil people don't always
Change their ways
And waiting for something to happen
Is still just waiting
Family good or bad
Well, you're still related
Happy endings don't always exist
And most of the time,
The only person saving you is yourself...
This is no fairy tale,
This is reality
It's not magical, or tragic
There are no spells, no do-over's,
And no perfect ending is guaranteed.
