Look at You

by Lioness   Feb 1, 2011

Look at you! Look at what you have become
Are you proud of yourself?

I'm not

How did you get here? How could you do this to yourself? To me?
I am watching you. Watching you destroy yourself and those around you. Watching you destroy me

I know how you feel. I know what it's like when the emotions eat at you. I know what it feels like not to be loved, to be wanted, cherished or dreamt of like the way you dream of others

Looking back I wonder how you could have done things differently. What if your life was different? What if you weren't invisible? What if you were beautiful?

It's hard to sit back and not be able to do anything to help you, to help me

I have always wondered what kind of person you would become

Now I know you will become me

Oh this one is different, it is a very clever poem. There were parts of this poem I could relate to with myself and how I feel towards me and my life. There was other bits also which I related to other people in my life and things I would say to them.

    Great idea, well done.
