We all make bad decisions, we turn on to wrong roads
We say the wrong thing and give up when it all goes
So many of us have been caught in the rain
A lot of us hide, cry, and scream but never admit the pain
Some develop mirror monsters in their mind,
It's a depicted false visual few cannot leave behind
So you stare, you begin to fall, self esteem starts to crash
What once was golden to you is now believed to be trash
Sometimes you'll experience 99 wrong to get 1 right
Waking up and following through feels like such a fight
Every call, every word, every feeling just turns into something bad
You misplaced happiness and relief, something you once had
The word "stress" will never diminish from your life and keeps up your guard
It strikes your heart, physically and emotionally, breaking faith down so hard
The point of listening doesn't seem to exist anymore
Words are meaningless letters making up nothing worth listening for
However, you somehow got stuck with me
Who sees thing through "rose colored glasses" and differently
So let me tell you that i think you're beautiful
And how your friendship is more than normal and suitable
So what, you get a parking ticket once every two days
And paying bills late turned past the stage of a phase
Eh, screw it if your couch smells like pee
And your kids always drink your iced tea
It's OK if you don't have 30 pairs of pants,
That's fine that you're caught on video at the Mexican fiesta dance
Its cool that cheetos are implanted into the carpet in your car
The gas light blinking on E means you're not going anywhere far
Its not your fault that you burnt pop-tarts, its the toaster's, duh
Out of a million pairs of shoes in your house, you cant even find one
All of this chaos is fine, and I'm sure you're not alone
I guarantee there are others who struggle as well on their own
What makes me happy is how you still face everyday on your two feet
You won't go down without a fight or a defeat
No matter what kind of trouble you're facing today
You grab life by the balls and go your own way
You stand tall and stick by every belief you hold
You'd still walk that extra mile in the blistering cold
Don't tell me you do not have this amazing, hard to find strength
There are some who never finish the day's length
And even if its fake, you still laugh and still smile
When I catch a glimpse of it, it keeps me going for a while
And when you sing, it's as if you can feel whatever you feel in that song
And when you laugh, it reminds me for that moment, things aren't too wrong
You might think you're nothing, or nothing to be thought about,
But for your information, I'm diminishing that shadow of doubt
Because you have so many faults and problem after problem
It doesn't bother me if i could give my word on how to solve them
You're not perfect in society's eyes
That is OK, trends seem to cut one's true self down to size
