Rain

by H. Elizabeth   Feb 4, 2011

Smell of Rain
Fresh on the pavement
Pouring steadily
From the Heavens
Puddles of water
Like mirrors
Reflecting your own face
Back at you
You watch your life go by
Only your life's reflection
You look up from the mirror of water
Jolting back to reality
It's still raining

I love the rain, the smell as it cleanses the earth. Looking into the puddles seeing your reflections as a breeze sends ripples distorting the image.
    Very cool write =)
