Doctor, Doctor

by Amanda   Feb 5, 2011

Oh, dear faithful doctor
Remove this cloth from my eyes
I once was blind, but now I see
He was the cause of my demise
You came to my rescue
My life had been torn apart
Stitched it back together
By giving me your heart
Picked out all the thorns
And bandaged my wounds
Kisses are filled with medicine
Heavy doses make me swoon
Admit me to your hospital
I'm making an overnight stay
Please do whatever it takes
To make the nightmares go away
Your skills are amazing
My love, you did revive
Smiles palpitate my heart
Keeping me alive
Enlighten me with your stories
Of your heartfelt past
You tell me I'm your doctor
Your savior at last
We were simultaneously ripped apart
By their unforgivable lies
Prescribe me a dozen fake roses
And love me until the last one dies
I promise to be there for you
To keep you healthy and take care
Remember, you are not alone
For it's each other we will share
