Beyond all fears

by Poet on the Piano   Feb 5, 2011

Oh God!
I know writing these words
is barely a strong enough action
when others are constantly bowed,
their bodies moaning from prayer.
Please make the world recognize life
as a unique, lovingly created gift.
I hear their cries for comfort,
the choices they hear and sense
as mother's womb becomes
an unholy weapon- a danger.
This is not how you intended Love.
Please my Lord,
help all those blinded or confused,
lift the cover from their eyes
and let them embrace all Your creation
even the ones who are unborn,
fitting in the palm of Your hand.
You knew me, You knew everyone
before we were breathed onto earth,
hold those who mourn,
and bless the mothers and fathers
faced with unexpected birth.
Let them choose life.
I pray in Your everlasting name.
Amen.
