Scientific Evidence

Do you believe the science of the
heavens and many of its branches
Astronomically evolved from
mythology or random chances?
Do you believe creation was created
By a creator that left no evidence
Intelligent design is elevated
Or it makes absolutely no sense?
All of the evidence that's been rejected
Dissected by philosophers through ages
Surviving ideas that are naturally selected
Recorded by scribes writing lots of pages
Did pseudo astrologers come from the east,
Or did they see an event foretold by a star?
A story repeated two thousand years at least
The truth is so near, yet must travel so far
We have yet to turn cheap metals into gold
Or discover an eternal fountain of youth
All of the alchemist died when they were old
Yet long after many would search for the truth
My father suffered and died from lung cancer
He smoked, and breathed the dust of coal
The serious question I have yet to answer
Which man made chemicals will take a lethal toll
Nothing out of this world originated with man
Yet many seem to have the desire to control
What we want to believe and what others can
Do we have the heart to mind what lies in our soul?
