The Grass is Always Greener

by RynZelara   Feb 12, 2011

Born and raised
On these fields so fresh
Gentle breeze every day
Same sway of the wind

The fence...

The call is inviting
Like feathers on the ear
Staring at the other side
Longing for fresher fields

Green...

Reaching out so desperately
Squeeze through the restraints
Poked and prodded about
Finally tasting victory

Deceived...

The painful crunch of deceit
Like glass lacerations
Head now lodged in too deep
No inconsequential return

The grass is always greener...
But is it worth it?

To let go of some things or people, it will hurt. Change is not always easy when you are afraid. But it can be rewarding to let go of what we think is good for us. Only to find that we could have had better all along.

This one was great also. I loved how u used the expression the grass is always greener and explaind things that can look tempting and great are usually harmful. Great write.
