For Agnes

by Kevin   Feb 15, 2011

The waters swell from that old tune,
Still...not so much a drop is spilled,
a breathy wind lays flat the surge,
this ocean, calms by force of will.

I'm not the only seaface though,
waves...of one effect the others,
currents form and swirl around me,
eddies, of my Sisters, Brothers.

(interlude of waves)

The wall stands tall from all attacks,
whilst...neath its cover, I listen,
to muted history crash in,
The storm goes home, the wall glistens.

Yeah it's about my Gran, who passed on 2 weeks ago.

Wonderful poem for a wonderful person. God bless your gran, and you. Hope you are well, still glistening from another storm.

(unless it's for someone else, in which case, it's still a good poem)
